Salt dough decorations

Learn this traditional craft and take home a selection of springtime/harvest decorations. These easy to make homemade decorations are such a favourite part of our craft preparations for Easter/Springtime and Autumn/harvest and for that reason we make them every year, enjoying the process as much as the end product.

The Spring equinox has been celebrated the world over since ancient times, and our saltdough crafts will also celebrate using the symbols of eggs and hares/rabbits.

Thanksgiving ceremonies and celebrations for a successful harvest are both worldwide and very ancient. In Britain, we have given thanks for successful harvests since pagan times. We will use the symbols of fruit and grains to inspire our harvest designs.

They are so simple that even a toddler can muck in and help and yet very striking and beautiful when decorated.  Perfect for adding the personal, home made touch.

This course is suitable for complete beginners and those with prior experience.

This one day course includes a welcome coffee/tea and snack,  a light lunch and afternoon tea or coffee with delicious home baking.

All equipment, materials and instructions are provided.

The course will take place at our home in Much Birch, Herefordshire, in our purpose-built studio  or the local village hall.
